Unlike promotions (competitive search/direct appointment) or reclassifications (permanent change in duties), career progression emphasizes growth through increased job proficiency and relevant professional development.

The UGA Journeys initiative ensures that career progression is:

  • Ongoing: focused on continuous learning and improvement.
