DUAL CAREER ASSISTANCE

Increasingly, university professionals are part of a dual career couple. The University of Georgia recognizes the needs of spouses or partners to have accessibility to employment resources and how this may impact decisions about career moves. Job opportunities for spouses and partners are key to successful recruitment and retention. Although we cannot guarantee employment, we will provide dedicated career support to assist in the job search in and around the Athens area.

OUT-OF-STATE EMPLOYMENT

The University of Georgia is an employer of the State of Georgia. The University of Georgia is a public institution, and recruiting is focused on hiring employees who live and work in Georgia. Limited out-of-state work arrangements become necessary when the position and/or duties are essential and critical to the teaching and research mission and cannot be met by a USG institution employee or a state of Georgia resident.

SAFE & SECURE

The University of Georgia is proud to provide a safe and secure environment for our community. Our  annual Safe and Secure report for the campus community is produced by the University’s Police Department, Office of Legal Affairs, Division of Student Affairs, Division of Human Resources, and Division of Marketing and Communications.
