Minimum Hiring Rate
The Minimum Hiring Rate (MHR) is the mimimum starting salary for individuals in various positions at the University of Georgia. Information on the latest MHR is available in the Salary Administration Guidelines.
July 2024 increases: As discussed in the Salary Administration Guidelines Fiscal Year 2024, UGA is directing additional funds in its FY24 budget to increase its Minimum Hiring Rates (MHR). This change will happen automatically. Effective July 1, 2023, compensation rates for individuals who are currently earning less than the new MHR will be automatically increased to the MHR. No action is needed on your part for this to occur.
