Mandatory Training Courses

Employee Profile Questionnaire
Each year, all employees must complete this employee profile questionnaire. This will help determine which trainings are required (e.g., lab safety training) or recommended for you personally in addition to the trainings listed here. 


Intro to UGA’s New Performance Process 
With the launch of the new online Performance Evaluation process in January 2025, UGA is requiring that all staff who are evaluation-eligible employees complete the mandatory course: Intro to UGA’s New Performance Process.  This brief course will highlight the changes associated with this new process.  

Intro to UGA’s New Performance Process must be completed by December 15, 2024. Employees will not be able to view their completed Performance Evaluations in PEP if this course is not credited.  

To complete this mandatory training, log into the Professional Education Portal (PEP) with your UGA MyID and password. Once on the PEP homepage, navigate to the “Training Due,” section and select “Intro to UGA’s New Performance Process.”   


Ethics Policy Refresher Training Course 
The University System of Georgia (USG) Ethics Policy requires all USG employees complete an ethics refresher training course. The Board of Regents (BOR) recently updated its Ethics Policy Refresher training module. To complete this mandatory training, log into the Professional Education Portal (PEP) with your UGA MyID and password. Once on the PEP homepage, navigate to the “Training Due,” section and select “USG Ethics Refresher Training 2024.”

UGA Employee Recruitment Training Course 
All individuals involved in the hiring process for faculty, staff and students will be required to complete mandatory recruitment training.  Individuals only need to attend the training once in order to participate in multiple search processes. The search training should be completed each time an individual participates in a search unless the training has been completed at least once within the last year.
