The UGA Benefits Fair and Well-being Expo will take place on Friday, October 18.

This year's open enrollment period will be held from Oct. 28 through Nov. 8, 2024. This is an active enrollment year, which means action will be required on the part of each UGA employee to ensure that benefits and associated costs match individual circumstances.

All faculty and staff enrolled or enrolling in a USG healthcare plan must certify their tobacco status. Employees covering a spouse on their USG/UGA health plan must also update the working spouse certification; those faculty and staff who take no action during open enrollment to complete these certifications will default to the $150 monthly surcharge for each item.

UGA will hold an in-person benefits fair and well-being expo this Friday, Oct. 18 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in Mahler Hall at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. Participants are invited to chat with vendors, get benefits information and participate in vendor-provided giveaways. Open Enrollment Presentations will be hosted throughout the day in Room D. Presentations start at 10:30 a.m. and continue every hour until 2:30 p.m.

UGA faculty and staff are also invited to attend the Well-being Expo at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education's Room F/G and discover wellness information from various campus providers. Attendees can enjoy free chair massages from the UGA Health Center Massage Therapy Clinic, engage in demonstrations of resistance band exercises led by the Recreational Sports group, and gain valuable insights about important wellness resources from the UGA Vision Clinic, UGA Hearing and Speech Clinic, and the UGA Cooperative Extension Office.

The benefits fair will also feature a walk-in flu shot clinic staffed by the University Health Center. No appointment is necessary. Faculty and staff are asked to bring their UGA ID and medical insurance card to the flu clinic. Please note: Kaiser Permanente members must receive their flu shot at a Kaiser facility in order for it to be covered by insurance.

Registration for the event is not required. Those planning to attend can add this event to their calendar here. To learn more about open enrollment for 2025, visit the University Human Resources webpage or contact hrweb@uga.edu.
