Well-being Workshops

Training and Development offers many workshops to provide you with the knowledge and skills to achieve your health-related goals.  Go to UGA’s Professional Education Portal and search under “Well-being” for the latest course offerings. Or check out the playlist "Spring 2021 UGA Well-being Courses" created by Kizmet.  All workshops will be offered virutally for the Spring 2021 Semester.

Every month there is a live online Information Session on our Employee Assistance Program and the USG Well-being Rewards Program.  Register through PEP.

Free Personal Wellness Coaching Programs

We understand that sometimes it’s hard to know where to start on your well-being journey, or to keep motivated to continue.  That’s when having a personal coach can help.  UGA Well-being offers several opportunities for individual coaching.

Personal Wellness Coaching - Participants meet one-on-one with a Kaiser Permanente Well-being Coach and develop a plan to make changes to improve health.  Free and open to all UGA faculty and staff regardless of your insurance provider.  Register through UGA’s Professional Education Portal and search under “Well-being.”  You can also earn $25 in well-being credit for participating in this coaching program.

  • Informational Meeting, 12:00 p.m.January 21, 2021, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  Register through PEP.

Phone Coaching through the USG Well-being Virgin Pulse platform - Log in to ourwellbeing.usg.edu; select "Programs"; "Phone Coaching."  Complete 4 coaching calls and earn $25.  Topics include nutrition, stress, sleep, physical activity, and more. 

Free and confidential phone consultations are also available through USG Well-being partners.  Complete 4 coaching appointments and earn $25 in well-being credit.  .

Free Pilates and Yoga Classes

Free noontime PIlates and yoga classes via Zoom.  Classes are taught by Kiz Adams from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. most weekdays.  To receive a weekly schedule directly to your inbox, email wellbeing@uga.edu and ask to be added to the Pilates listserv.  

TAO Therapy Assistance Online

TAO is a free online mental health therapy program offered through the University Health Center and availabe to anyone with a uga.edu email address.  It includes over 150 brief, effective, educational sessions covering over 50 common topics and skills related to mental health, wellness, and substance use issues. TAO Includes interactive sessions, mindfulness exercises and practice tools all aimed at helping you achieve your goals.  For more information on how to access these resources go to UHC tao therapy.  

Prediabetes and Diabetes Managment

More than 1 in 3 adults in the United States have prediabetes -- and 90% do not even know they have it.  Without making lifestyle changes, most people with prediabetes will become diabetic within 5 years.  There are free programs for reducing your risk of prediabetes or managing diabetes if you already have it.  And if you complete 16+ weeks of a weight managment, Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP), or Diabetes Management Program, you can earn $50 in well-being credit. 

Anthem members:  Livongo for Diabetes is a health benefit that combines advanced technology with coaching to support you with your diabetes.  Go to Livongo to learn more.  Or call Livongo Member Support at (800) 945-4355. 

Kaiser Permanente members:  Omada is an online Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) that includes smart technology to monitor your progress, a professional health coach to keep you on track, and a small support group of peers for encouragment.  To see if you are eligilbe for this program, take a 2-minuite questionnaire at omadahealth.com/kpga.

The Employee Assistance Program, KEPRO

KEPRO’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers a wide variety of resources that are designed to improve wellness, enhance organizational performance and improve financial outcomes. KEPRO solutions are based on clinical expertise, industry best practices, professional and credentialed providers and a dedication to help those we serve.
KEPRO’s EAP and Work-Life services are designed to help employees resolve a wide range of issues and restore both personal and professional effectiveness. Services are free and confidential and available to  all full and part-time employees and their families. 

The EAP offers many services to employees including:

  • 24/7 access to services, 365 days a year
  • Face-to-face consulting with a local licensed provider and /or telephonic counseling with a Masters-level clinician
  • A large variety of on-line resources and programs
  • Unlimited telephonic consultations for managers, supervisors, and HR leaders with KEPRO's Managment Services Team
  • Work/Life services including no-cost consultations with attorneys, financial professionals, child and eldercare services specialists and others.
