UGA employees: Commit to your potential!

The University of Georgia is committed to providing ongoing skills training and career advancement opportunities for employees to enhance their workplace satisfaction and foster an environment of exceptionalism.

Grow your career at UGA through T&D courses and events across UGA.

T&D Career Development Series

Are you up for a promotion? Would you like to make a change or propel your career to the next level? Do you frequently counsel others that are looking to advance in their careers? Make sure you are prepared for your next opportunity.

Join colleagues from across campus as we explore a variety of Career Development topics:

  • Resumes and Cover Letters – October 23, 5:15 p.m.
  • Social Networking & LinkedIn – October 30, 2:30 p.m.
  • Informational Interviews & Networking – November 28, 5:15 p.m.
  • Preparing to Interview – December 6, 5:15 p.m.

Register for any or all of these sessions through T&D registration.

Career Consulting Services

Need a more individual approach? Request an appointment to meet with a T&D career consultant!

We are available to help you with a variety of topics including:

  • Aligning your work and values
  • Revitalizing your resume and cover letter
  • Preparing for an interview
  • Networking at UGA

Our consultants will help you learn skills and identify tools necessary to pursue positions and opportunities at the University. Once you have drafted a resume/CV and cover letter, a consultant can help you tailor your documents and improve your job search correspondence, apply for jobs and prepare for interviews.

Employees may request up to 2 appointments per year with a T&D career consultant. We recommend attending our Career Development Series courses prior to meeting one-on-one with a career consultant, so that appointments can be used to update or prepare for specific opportunities.

Employees that are current UGA students or alumni are also eligible to meet with UGA Career Center consultants and participate in UGA Career Center sponsored programming. Check out these opportunities and more on the UGA Career Center website

Please note: T&D is unable to provide job placement services. Career development consulting enables UGA employees the opportunity to truly flourish in their work so that they can better fulfill the mission of the University.
