Federal Form I-9
All U.S. employers are responsible for completion and retention of Form I-9 – Employment Eligibility Verification for each individual hired for employment in the United States, including citizens and non-citizens. As part of the University’s employment process, you are required to complete a Federal Form I-9 to establish your eligibility to work in the United States.
Following acceptance of an offer of employment, you will receive information about how to complete your Form I-9 and the acceptable documents that may be presented to demonstrate identification and eligibility to work.
- Section 1 of hte Form will be completed within your Onboarding packet.
- Section 2 of the Form will be completed with a University HR representative or other authorized representative. All documents presented for Section 2 must be original (no copies) and unexpired. A list of acceptable documents can be found here.
