We understand that sometimes it’s hard to know where to start on your well-being journey, or to keep motivated to continue.  That’s when having a personal coach can help. 

UGA Well-being offers several opportunities for individual coaching.

Phone Coaching through the USG Well-being Virgin Pulse platform - Log in to ourwellbeing.usg.edu; select "Programs"; "Phone Coaching."  Complete 4 coaching calls and earn $25.  Topics include nutrition, stress, sleep, physical activity, and more. 

Free and confidential phone consultations are also available through USG Well-being partners. Complete 4 coaching appointments and earn $25 in well-being credit.

Prediabetes and Diabetes Managment 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

More than 1 in 3 adults in the United States have prediabetes -- and 90% do not even know they have it.  Without making lifestyle changes, most people with prediabetes will become diabetic within 5 years.  There are free programs for reducing your risk of prediabetes or managing diabetes if you already have it.  If you complete 16+ weeks of a weight managment, Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP), or Diabetes Management Program, you can earn $50 in well-being credit. 

Anthem members:  Livongo for Diabetes is a health benefit that combines advanced technology with coaching to support you with your diabetes.  Go to Livongoto learn more or call Livongo Member Support at (800) 945-4355. 

Kaiser Permanente members:  Omada is an online Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) that includes smart technology to monitor your progress, a professional health coach to keep you on track, and a small support group of peers for encouragment.  To see if you are eligible for this program, take a 2-minute questionnaire at omadahealth.com/kpga.  

 

Well-being Workshops 

 

Our Learning & Development team offers many workshops to provide you with the knowledge and skills to achieve your health-related goals.  Go to UGA’s Professional Education Portal and search under “Well-being” for the latest course offerings.

Every month there is a live online Information Session on our Employee Assistance Program and the USG Well-being Rewards Program.  

 

 

USG Weekly Well-Being Events 

 

Weekly Events: USG Well-being offers live online events weekly, everything from healthy cooking demonstrations to chair yoga to Zumba!  To register or attend the event, go to USG Well-being Events

 

Well-being Wednesdays: USG Well-being sponsors “Well-being Wednesday” webinars the second Wednesday of every month with topics that raise awareness about health, stress and disease that will motivate you to make important changes that will reduce risks and enhance the quality of your life.  Earn $10 in well-being credit for every Well-being Wednesday webinar you attend (can earn up to 5 times in a year).
