Dual Career Assistance Program

Increasingly, university professionals are part of a dual career couple. The University of Georgia recognizes the needs of spouses or partners to have accessibility to employment resources and how this may impact decisions about career moves. Job opportunities for spouses and partners are key to successful recruitment and retention. Although we cannot guarantee employment, we will provide career and dedicated support to assist in the job search in and around the Athens area.

About the Dual Career Assistance Program

The Dual Career Assistance Program (DCAP) includes services for spouses or partners seeking staff, administrative, or professional opportunities within the Athens and the surrounding areas. These services include but are not limited to:

  • Providing CV/resume review, cover letter review, and interviewing critique and coaching

  • Helping applicant to identify career opportunities
  • Assisting your job search process by informational interviewing and job referrals both at UGA and in the community

Those seeking services for spouses or partners desiring academic appointments at the University should be directed to the Office of the Provost.  Please view the Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Application Form for additional details regarding eligibility and process.
