High Impact Leadership Certificate
Led by Training & Development in the Office of Human Resources, this certificate series is designed for high-performing individuals who demonstrate leadership potential regardless of position title at UGA. Anyone interested in building a strong foundation of essential leadership skills will benefit from this cohort program. This program is especially valuable to those who are already in or aspire to be in leadership positions.
Certificate in Supervisory Excellence
The Certificate in Supervisory Excellence, sponsored by Training & Development in the Office of Human Resources, is designed to deliver valuable fundamentals specific to managing staff and resources at the University of Georgia. Supervisors will learn basic employment guidelines and continue enhancing critical supervisory skills for the workplace through a variety of instruction, discussion, and learning experiences.
Diversity and Inclusion Certificate
The Diversity and Inclusion Certificate creates an opportunity for faculty and staff to explore strategic areas around diversity and improve their ability to contribute to the enhancement of UGA’s welcoming and inclusive environment. The certificate will also enable participants to get a closer look at the people, institutions and initiatives that play a key role in supporting and fostering diversity at UGA. The Diversity and Inclusion Certificate is a partnership between the Office of Institutional Diversity, Training & Development (Human Resources) and other diversity-related offices and programs across the institution.
Certificate in Academic Advising
The Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, in partnership with Training & Development, offers the Certificate in Academic Advising. This is a six-course program, including two core competency courses and four electives. Courses are offered in order to equip academic advisors at UGA with the essential knowledge and skills to assist students successfully. Participants will earn the certificate upon completion of the six courses and attendance at one of the Academic Advising Coordinating Council advisor workshops.
Fiscal Administration Certificate Training Series (FACTS)
To support the professional development of UGA personnel with financial responsibilities and to promote excellence in financial management throughout campus, the Associate Vice President and Controller is sponsoring the Fiscal Administration Certificate Training Series (FACTS). The purpose of the FACTS is to provide a comprehensive fiscal management training and certification program that emphasizes technical knowledge of laws, regulations, policies and procedures, an understanding of established business practices, and ethical management.
Global Certificate Program
As we compete in a global economy, individuals who understand international issues will possess valuable skills needed in current and future employment opportunities. The Office of International Education offers the year-round Global Certificate Program in conjunction with Training & Development at UGA. The certificate program is designed to foster understanding of and appreciation for the importance of our international relationships, including: International students visiting UGA, UGA students abroad, International scholars sharing knowledge and expertise with the UGA community.
