How can I find out how many Supervisory Excellence courses I have taken?

Email Training & Development (training@uga.edu) and request a list of your completed Supervisory Excellence courses.

 

Can I take the Supervisory Excellence Fundamentals program if I am not currently a supervisor?

No. Additional Supervisory Excellence programming will be rolled out in 2018 for employees who do not currently hold a supervisory role but wish to gain supervisory skills.

 

Can I take Supervisory Excellence courses other than Fundamentals if I am not currently a supervisor?

Yes. All SEP courses other than Fundamentals are open to all employees. Additional Supervisory Excellence programming will be rolled out in 2018 for employees who do not currently hold a supervisory role but wish to gain supervisory skills.

 

I was taking SEP courses prior to October 2017. Can I still complete the Certificate in Supervisory Excellence under the previous guidelines?  

Maybe.

If you are currently a supervisor and...

  • completed both core classes under the old guidelines, then yes. Continue taking electives in 2018 and complete the capstone case study to earn the certificate. You will not be required to take the Fundamentals program.
  • completed one of the core classes under the old guidelines, then yes. Complete the Fundamentals program, electives (coming in 2018), and complete the capstone case study to earn the certificate. You will be required to take the Fundamentals program if you did not complete both core classes under the old guidelines.  
  • completed some or all of the electives under the old guidelines, but neither of the core classes, then yes. Complete the Fundamentals program, electives (coming in 2018), and complete the capstone case study to earn the certificate. You will be required to take the Fundamentals program if you did not complete both core classes under the old guidelines.

If you are not a supervisor and...

  • completed both core classes under the old guidelines, then yes. Continue taking electives in 2018 and complete the capstone case study to earn the certificate. You will not be required to take the Fundamentals program.
  • completed one of the core classes under the old guidelines, then no, not at this time. Additional Supervisory Excellence programming will be rolled out in 2018 for employees who do not currently hold a supervisory role but wish to gain supervisory skills.
  • completed some or all of the electives under the old guidelines, but neither of the core classes, then no, not at this time. Additional Supervisory Excellence programming will be rolled out in 2018 for employees who do not currently hold a supervisory role but wish to gain supervisory skills.

I have already earned the Certificate in Supervisory Excellence under the previous guidelines. Can I still take the Supervisory Excellence Fundamentals?

If you are a supervisor, then yes.
