Starting Tuesday, March 17th, University Human Resources will be primarily operating in a remote fashion. Our goal is to minimize disruption and maintain operations as normally as possible. The S. Jackson St. University Human Resources office and the Training and Development Center will be closed beginning March 17th. Our staff will be working remotely to allow for social distancing while we still do what is required to serve our students, faculty and staff.
Please visit our website often. This information is subject to change and will be regularly updated.
We encourage you to monitor the University of Georgia coronavirus website for updates.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D)
In addition to the regular life insurance policy, which has an accidental death and dismemberment clause, you may purchase extra accidental death and dismemberment insurance for yourself and your family (legal spouse and eligible children) at a low group rate.
The University System of Georgia has contracted with MetLife to provide AD&D coverage (separate from the AD&D insurance included with your life insurance). During your first 30 days of employment, you may enroll in the AD&D plan with no statement of health required. AD&D coverage is available in multiples of $10,000 up to $500,000.
Premiums for this coverage are deducted from your payroll check. Faculty please note: all faculty and staff who are paid on a ten-month payroll basis will have their premiums adjusted from January through May to include premiums needed for June and July coverage (i.e., January through May premiums will be higher).
See below for instructions on how to enroll.

If you wish to enroll in University System benefits, you must do so within 30 days of your employment date using the OneUSG Connect - Benefits website. Select the UGA logo and use your MyID and password to log in. If needed, you may also call the OneUSG Connect - Benefits Call Center toll free at 1-844-5-USGBEN (1-844-587-4236).
If you do not enroll during the 30-day period, you must wait until the annual open enrollment period, unless you experience an IRS-approved life event change.
- New employees should visit the OneUSG Connect - Benefits website to enroll.
- Current employees who wish to make coverage changes due to life events should also use the OneUSG Connect - Benefits website to request changes.
