SUMMARY

This position will demonstrate practical and creative abilities in digital media production, such as digital sound, digital radio, web-casting/streaming, interactive software design, digital video, video production techniques and DVD creation. Digital Media Professionals should possess an understanding of
the concept, design and development of digital media projects, including extensive knowledge of variety of design, development, and production software and technology.

The work of a Digital Media Professional will vary according to the nature of the employing organization and the level of responsibility associated with the position posting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as project manager, seeing the process of creating digital media products through from inception to finished product.

Work collaboratively with clients and other digital media professionals

Determine, conceptualize, design, develop and deliver digital media projects Assist faculty with integrating digital multimedia into teaching, learning, and/or research.

Edit non-linear video using video editing tools

Produce quality video with attention to lighting, sound, shot composition, camera work, etc.

Recognize and employ industry standard production values that govern their work (i.e. flow, visual presentation, style guidelines, transitions, etc.)

Incorporate artistic, innovative, creative abilities into their work

Provide design, support and technical advice on the creation of digital media

Provide design, support and technical advice on the purchase of digital media technology

Convert wide variety of formatted materials into appropriate digital formats

Stay up to date on new and emerging technologies in the digital media field

Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
