SUMMARY

This is responsible administrative and supervisory work in retail food sales management in a campus catering, food production, or cash operations.

Work involves assisting the Retail Food Sales Manager, for food quality and production. Work is performed under the general direction of the Retail Food Sales Manager and is evaluated through observation of results and customer reaction. Activities and decisions are varied in nature, requiring independent action and judgment in solving common problems. Unusual cases or questionable matters are resolved with position's supervisor or other appropriate positions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for supervising, directing, and training full time, temporary, and student employees

Ensure that the University and participating entities', e.g. Chick-fil-A, standards are met.

Maintaining food quality and food production

Ordering food, maintaining inventory

Distributing cash drawers

Opening and locking safe and verifying cash in drawers

Responsible for opening and closing building

Assisting in overseeing and verifying financial reports for participating entities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Graduation from an accredited college or university including (2-3 years work) experience in a retail food service environment, and driver's license required.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions

Ability to develop ideas that will result in improvements in existing methods, services, programs.

Ability to operate standard office equipment

Ability to operate motor vehicles (trucks and vans)

Ability to operate light equipment for moving food supplies

Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment

Ability to search for data or information in computer files

Ability to generate standard reports

Ability to input and edit information

Ability to ensure/safeguard data integrity

Ability to perform word processing duties

Ability to create graphics, multimedia, and/or desktop publishing applications

Ability to design and/or program spreadsheet or customize reports
