SUMMARY
Assists with the administration of the UGA oversight responsibility for compliance with federal and state laws and UGA policies addressing equal access to employment and enrollment as well as program, service, and activity opportunities at UGA. Assists in administering UGA Nondiscrimination and Harassment Policy. Also oversees operations of USGA ACH. |

Serves as Assistant Equal Opportunity Officer for UGA. |
EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCE
Law Degree and member in good standing of the State Bar of Georgia or Masters Degree and six years' related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience. |
KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to (i) read, analyze, and interpret statutes and regulations,
professional journals, financial reports, and legal documents, (ii) respond
to inquiries or complaints from faculty, students, staff, regulatory agencies,
or members of the community, (iii) write complex documents in a prescribed
format, (iv) ability to effectively present information to senior administration
and public groups, (v) ability to communicate complex ideas and beliefs
to top management and (vi) develop ideas that will result in the creation
of new methods, services, programs, processes. |
