SUMMARY This is the fifth and lead level in a group of five progressively
higher administrative/support jobs. It performs administrative and support duties with wide
latitude for exercising discretion and judgment. It may serve as the first-line
supervisor or office manager. This title must frequently interpret written
policies and procedures and explain them to others. Work plans may also
be developed from this information. This title frequently deals with issues of a highly confidential
nature and must be able to use discretion effectively. This title may act "on behalf of" the higher-ranking superior. |
DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and supervises program operations. Assists administrators with programs often requiring full program knowledge. May serve as sole administrative and clerical support. Creates, maintains, writes, interprets and draws conclusions from queries or databases. Recommends, administers, and monitors budgets for State funds, contracts and grants, trust funds, etc. Writes, edits, or coordinates the preparation of reports, speeches or other printer material including determining necessary content. Performs
other related duties as assigned. |
EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma
or equivalent and four years of progressively responsible office experience OR Associate's Degree
and two years of responsible office experience OR Bachelor's degree. |
KNOWLEDGE,

Working knowledge of office practices and procedures. Organizational skills. Ability to use discretion with confidential information. Ability to use independent judgment. Ability to work under extremely limited supervision. Supervisory skills. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. |
