SUMMARY This is an entry-level job in a group of five progressively
higher administrative/support jobs. |
DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares letters, reports, records, and forms from rough drafts and corrected copies. Screens and distributes incoming correspondence; transmits information; schedules meetings and arranges appointments. Answers telephone and greets visitors giving general information in response to inquiries; delivers oral and written messages. Performs input of received data into a computerized system. Monitors supplies and initiates requisitions to replenish; submits to supervisor for approval. Records and tracks account expenditures via computer or manually. Performs other related duties as assigned. |
EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCE
Depending on departmental requirements, high school diploma or equivalent may be required. |
KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic keyboarding/computer skills. Basic language, spelling, communication, and arithmetic skills. A typing test may be required by department. |
