Get involved in the community through GivePulse. Piloted by the Office of Service Learning (OSL), GivePulse is a volunteer and service management platform where faculty, staff, and students can view, sign up for, or create volunteer opportunities. The Georgia Master Gardener Extension Volunteer Program is a volunteer training program designed to help University of Georgia Cooperative Extension staff transfer research-based information about gardening and related subjects to the public by training home gardeners.

Let All the Big Dawgs Eat is a food scholarship program that supports students who struggle to afford adequate nutrition and allows them to concentrate on academic success without the worry of securing their next meal. The program relies on the generous contributions of private donors.

Community Connection 211 hosts an electronic database of service opportunities. The database contains over 100 community partners in Northeast Georgia and includes both one-time service projects and on-going service opportunities. You can search for opportunities by zip code and category.

Food Bank of Northeast Georgia offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals, groups and youth looking to get involved in the food bank’s mission to feed hungry people in the community.
The United Way of Northeast Georgia supports 29 human service agencies in an eight county area that includes: Barrow, Clarke, Franklin, Jackson, Madison, Morgan, Oglethorpe and Oconee. The United Way offers many opportunities to become involved in the community.
